Who we are?
The Centre for Earth Research and Environment Management (CEREM) was established in the year 2003 under the Travancore - Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act 12/1955 to promote research and development and education in the fields of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, Ecology, Environment, Biodiversity Conservation. Disaster Management, Natural Resource Management (especially IWRM), Coastal Zone Management and Urban Development etc. CEREM focuses its study on climate change, climate change impact on various sectors, forest management, agriculture development, climate change impact mitigation and adaptation and socio-economic issues associated with climate change that includes migration, conflicts and poverty alleviation. CEREM offers counselling and yoga practice for students and public. It organizes seminars and conferences to provide a platform for the scientists, academicians and policy makers to share and disseminate latest findings and awareness campaigns for students and general public on environmental issues.

Objectives :
» General Objective of CEREM is to bring together scientific talents available in various organisations and institutions in India and abroad in Earth, atmosphere and Ocean Sciences to focus on specific issue» Science and technology of yoga practicing and meditation
