Dr. Bava holds a Ph. D. from School of Marine Sciences, Cochin University of Science & Technology, India. Dr. Bava is Senior Research Scientist at Advanced Technology Institute, Japan. Currently he is a Visiting Foreign Researcher at ICHARM (International Centre for Water Hazard and Risk Management, and actively engaged in India-Japan Disaster Risk Reduction program and Japan`s Kerala mission for Flood mitigation programs with World Bank. In 1998, Dr. Bava was awarded prestigious STA fellowship of Japanese government and joined Geological Survey of Japan as a postdoctoral Research Fellow till 2000. He was a Research Consultant for Price Water House Coopers, Management Consultants, Tokyo in 2001 and joined Kyushu Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2002 as a Senior Research Scientist to lead a team of Researchers, System administrators and other staff. He attended many International conferences and published several papers in peer reviewed journals, chaired many International conferences.. He is the organizer of Asian Bioinformatics Research and Education Network (ABREN) and actively involved with various activities of the ABREN.
